BEFORE I START I WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOU I HAVE BLOG CANDY
PLEASE CLICK HERE TO READ ALL ABOUT IT.
My June page is ready to show off,
for this month I went for a bright happy spread,
(I must have been in a good mood when I sat down to make this page )lol
well that's the vibe I get from it anyway.
My finished May page will appear as if by magic near the bottom of this post,
For those of you that are not in the know,
this challenge lasts the whole year,
you have to journal every day in the form of 12 monthly calender pages,
& then head over to the the the Kathryn wheel blog & link up your creation,
so Kate Crane & any one else can see what you have come up with,
If you like the sound of that? you can jump in at any time along the way,
so get cracking & head over HERE to check it out.
I must say I'm loving the discipline of this challenge,
making sure that I have finished & blogged my pages ready for the first of the month,
but keeping track of the day's seems to make the month go faster it's already June(lol)
So here's my JUNE page cute hay!
I love the way this page turned out,
& I have fallen in love with the stamps I used all over again,
how cute are the little bird houses!
the owl's would have to wedge them selves in backwards to fit LOL.
So I feel I have to enter this for
the Simon says stamp & show your favourite stamp challenge
head to there blog to check it out
Here are some shots of how I built the page,
& what I used.
So I started out with the lightest colour & blended
as shown above.
Then stamped onto that, with the branch &
coloured the leaves with copic makers
as shown in the picture above, &
stamped other images in the center with
the items in the picture below.
I then went on & embellished with a selection of
the stamps coloured with copics & cut out.
The squares are again as the other months part
of a TSV on QVC bought ages ago (glad to put them to good use)
the days of the week are done on my computer,
as are the numbers (then punched out with a butterfly punch)
I used a Zig pen & white gel pen to doodle round the squares.
the title, June is out of chipboard letters stuck to a chipboard shape,
& then ribbon added.
& there you have it!
Again I haven't stuck much down yet
as it gives me the freedom to change and improve
things during the month.
Hope you like it!
