JOURNAL CALENDER (MAY 2011)

Hi all,
My May page is ready to show off,
(can you believe its May already)

My finished April page will appear by magic near the bottom of this post,

For those of you that are not in the know,
this challenge lasts the whole year,
you have to journal every day in the form of 12 monthly calender pages,
& then head over to the the kathryn wheel blog & link up your creation,
so Kate Crane & any one else can see what you have come up with,

If you like the sound of that? you can jump in at any time along the way,
so get cracking & head over HERE to check it out.

So here's my May page,

Here are some shots of how I built the page,
& what I used.

So I started out with the lightest colour & blended
the colours as shown above.

Then stamped on that with the item's in the picture above,

Now here's my finished background,

I then went on & embellished with a selection of dies & card scraps &
pre cut flowers & flower punch,
(I love the Go Kreate BOO Bear dies range)

The squares are again as the other months part
of a TSV on QVC bought ages ago (glad to put them to good use)
the days of the week are done on my computer,
as are the numbers (then punched out with a punch)
I used a Zig pen & white gel pen to doodle round some of the squares.
& there you have it!

Again I haven't stuck much down yet
as it gives me the freedom to change and improve
things during the month.
Hope you like it!

Here's April all filled in & stuck down,
with a few ajustments & more flying wellies (love them lol)

Well that's it for today,
have a crafty day.
Thanks for stopping by,
Back soon,
Kat x.
