JOURNAL CALENDER OCTOBER ( 2011)

Hi all,
I'm here today to show off my October pages,
But first I would like to tell you,
when I try to leave comment on other peoples work
my comment keeps disappearing,
(blogger isn't even throwing me to the brown sign in page)
CAN ANYONE HELP, I am so frustrated AHHHH!!!!!!

My finished SEPTEMBER page will appear as if by magic
near the bottom of this post,

For those of you that are not in the know,
this challenge lasts the whole year,
(Although we are on the 10th month you can still join in)
you have to journal every day in the form of 12 monthly calender pages,
& then head over to the the kathryn wheel blog & link up your creation,
so Kate Crane & any one else can see what you have come up with,
If you like the sound of that? get cracking & head over HERE to check it out

Here's my OCTOBER pages,

I thought I would graduate the colour
down the page for this one,
to symbolise the change of season,
on the background & the squares,
I think it came out quite well.

Here's the distress ink colours I used
to create the background,

All the background stamps are
paper artsy hot picks (LOVE THEM)

The embellishments I have made are also paper artsy
(how fab are stem punk Peter & steam punk Paul)
I stamped the flower twice once on cream & once on white card,
I then cut the white flowers out & stuck them to the cream flower
so it draws your eye,
the bottles are coloured with copic markers,
the word OCTOBER is from a date plate by creative expressions,
& the largest bottle is from the artistic stamper

The squares are again as the other months part of a TSV on QVC

bought ages ago (glad to put them to good use)
I did go over them lightly with distress ink
to tone them to the background,
then doodled round them with a zig pen.
the days of the week are done on my computer,
as are the numbers (then punched out with a flower punch)
& then coloured with copic markers,
Hope you like it!

Here's SEPTEMBER all filled out,

for all you lovely double clickers out there,
I have tried to make my nonsense a little  more exciting
but the atrocious spelling still remains (sorry) lol

well that's me for today,
thank you for all your lovely comments
you leave me each month,
each & every one is so apreceated.
Thanks for stopping by,
Back soon,
Kat x.

  4. I love to see the step-by-step process Kat. Great calendar pages :)
p.s. I've had a blip leaving comments as well, I fill in the box and press "post comment" and then the box is blank and no message comes up. Me thinks the gremlins are having their way again with Blogger...

  5. Absolutely stunning pages yet again and I adore how you filled in September. Thanks also for showing the inks you used and I love how you have an inksentials tool for each of your colours. So clever with the little circles on top! Lucky you. I have the little carousel with the 8 tools but am for ever mixing the colours. How do you store yours, would love to know!
