I'm here today with my entry for
Grungy Monday 08 over at studio L3
the technique this time from Tim is
Tim's September, 2008 Technique Challenge
Linda has the link on her blog for the technique,
so go check it out,
Here's my entry,
As you can see it's another tag,
I must admit I struggled with this one,
this is the 3 attempt,
the first attempt the inks I used were to dark,
the second attempt I used to much water,
& this attempt I think the inks are to pale,
but this is it never the less.
the stamps I used are from
Paper Artsy,
The butterflies are broaches I picked up at boot sales
& the bells are from an old Xmas Dec,
there it is,
Hope you like it!

Your tag is gorgeous Kat! x
ReplyDeleteVery nice! The colors may be muted, but it sets the butterflies and text off so nicely!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. No one can tell you struggled with it. I had a hard time getting the right amount of water for the right colour too. Great job.
ReplyDeleteThe muted colors are so pretty. I would not have known you struggled if you hadn't ratted yourself out :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your tag Kat. Those soft colours look so lovely.

Beautiful tag, love your butterflies and the use of the bells. Gorgeous. Tracy x
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous Kat, just love the colours and layout. I had 3 attempts too, it's about getting the right amount of ink and water without too much pressure I think. I will still have to practice more!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend.
luv and hugs {brenda} xoxox
This is positively gorgeous, Kat! I love the subtle, perfect use of the GM technique, and the sentiment is awesome! Those big golden bells are such a clever embellishment, too! The butterflies? FABULOUS!
ReplyDeleteIf it's any consolation, it took me five tries before I had a sample I liked!
corrrr, how did I miss this!!! I haven't been able to leave comments for 734years so am making up for it now... as ever Kat, I love your style xx
