SING COZ IT'S NEARLY SPRING

Hi all,
Can I start by saying HI, HELLO & WELCOME,
to my new followers, its a pleasure to have you on board,
I appreciate all the support my followers give me,
& the lovely comments you all leave.

So today I'm here to shear with you my tag for,
The COMPENDIUM OF CURIOSITIES Challenge,
Hosted by Linda Ledbetter over at studio L3
the technique this week is,
INKING & STAMPING MASKS week 32

Now I have finally caught up (I joined the challenge in week 18,
& felt I had to make the weeks I had missed so I had the full set)
its almost coming to a close. (sad face) ;-(

As its a tag, I'm entering it for
simon says stamp and show blog
the theme is SHOW A TAG
(I have a touch of the old dayjarvew {I know that's not spelt wright lol)

& also simon says stamps challenge blog
the theme this time is
MAKE YOUR OWN EMBELLISHMENT,
(I hope my birds wing counts)
Anyway waffle over here's my tag,

here's what I used
All the stamps this time are Paper Artsy's Hot Picks,
Except the script in the background witch is a
wood mounted one by stampabilities,
Distress inks used are,
Pine Needles, Broken China & Faded Jeans
The images are stamped in Archival ink
(Coffee & Olive)
the fibers are from my stash.

The birds wing is made from gold UTEE,
with Inka gold (gold & copper) rubbed over it,
The mould that the UTEE is pored into is one I made myself
out of Mould & Pour (fab stuff) & a pair of wing earrings
(I've had them in my stash for ages,
but I didn't want to commit them to a project
because then they are gone,
this way I have the mould to use again & again)

Hope you like it!
I'm off to rugby practice with my son
so must dash.

Thanks for stopping by,
Back soon
Kat x.

  10. Kat, this is just stunning! Your masking is absolutely brilliant-- you really achieved that "floating above the ink" look that Tim talks about. The UTEE wing is fabulous! The imagery is wonderful and the colors make me believe that we really might see spring some day. Great job!
