JOURNAL CALENDER (March 2011)

My March page is ready to show off

I am really enjoying this challenge,
My finished February page will appear by magic near the bottom of this post,

(I'm on time again can you believe it!!!) (lol)

For those of you that are not in the know,
this challenge lasts the whole year,
you have to journal every day in the form of 12 monthly calender pages,
& then head over to the the kathryn wheel blog & link up your creation,
so Kate Crane & any one else can see what you have come up with,

Like the sound of that? you can jump in at any time along the way,
so get cracking & head over HERE to check it out.

I am also entering this for the,
SPRING HAS SPRUNG Challenge,
over at the artistic stamper creative team blog
Now with out further a do,

here's my MARCH page,

This page turned out fresh & clean looking
just as I wanted (that's what spring is in my mind)
I love to see all my bulbs jump out of hiding & start to bloom,
Spring is my favorite time of year,
the nights start to get lighter, & the world starts to get it's colour back.
I was thinking of using daffs & tulips but I couldn't resist using
Dyan Reaveley, Dylusions Stamps
check them out here at the Art from the Heart Shop

I am improving with my confidence slightly,
I have managed to stick some of the flowers down (lol)

Now my Spring Fairy Dancer is made from collage sheets,
the head is (my favorite) from DYAN'S DOWNLOADS
the dancer & crown are from the very talented Marsha

OK here's some shots of what I used
& how it built up,

If you would like to see how the colours are blended
you can go to my Jan or Feb posts HERE or HERE
I have done this page in exactly the same way.

Here's my page after I have stamped on it,
& this is the distress inks & stamps I used.

I then stamped & blended the flowers onto some scrap paper
& cut them out.

The pre cut squares are from a TSV on QVC that I brought ages ago
(I love the fact that I am able to put these to good use on my pages)
The word MARCH is stamped from an alphabet set
& cut out, I then edged it, & all the squares with a black marker
to make them stand out.
The days of the week & numbers were made on the computer
& then cut or punched out in the same way as the previous pages.
I coloured the flowers with whispers marker pens.

I hope you like it!

Here's my finished FEBRUARY master piece (lol)

If you would like to see how this page was made you can

click back to the February post HERE

& for all you double clickers out there like me,
my window sager is still on going,
I am decorating my bedroom (slowly)
& I am having to have the outside of my house
re rendered,coated & painted
(to stop a leak/damp problem I never new I had
until I pulled out my husbands wardrobe to decorate)
Money & time is so tight at the moment,
sorry if I neglect my blog a bit.

Well I think that's about it,
I don't think I've missed anything.

I see I am up to 72 followers, (how cool is that!)
I do value all of my followers,

& I do appreciate all the wonderful comments I get from you all.
It gives my confidence a real boost to think you all like what I make
enough to come back,
so thank you all once again.
that's it from me today.

Thanks for stopping by,
Back soon,
Kat x.
