JOURNAL CALENDER (AUGUST 2011)

Hi all,
I'm here today with my AUGUST page,

& to let you know,I HAVE A SMALL GIVE AWAY (it's in the left side bar)

My finished JULY page will appear as if by magic near the bottom of this post,

For those of you that are not in the know,

this challenge lasts the whole year,
you have to journal every day in the form of 12 monthly calender pages,
& then head over to the the the the the kathrynwheel blog & link up your creation,
so Kate Crane & any one else can see what you have come up with,

OK here it is,
I think this page looks all summery,

Here's what I used for the background,

Here's the stamps I used,

The butterfly & flower were the free cover stamps

from Craft Stamper Magazine,

& this is the finished background,

I thought this page didn't need much

embellishing, because of the heavy boarder,

I coloured in the pattern & the flowers with copic markers.

The squares are again as the other months part

of a TSV on QVC bought ages ago (glad to put them to good use)

AUGUST is stamped  with an alphabet onto scrap card

& coloured with copic markers
the days of the week are done on my computer,
as are the numbers (then punched them out with a flower punch)

I used a Zig pen & white gel pen to doodle round the squares.

There's no room for anything else so I have

actually stuck things down this month (lol)

my confidence must be growing (tee hee he)

my son has messed around with my camera,

(tut, tut, tut) not sure what he's done,

I have tryed to correct it, but no joy.
