JOURNAL CALENDER (SEPTEMBER 2011)

Hi all,
I'm here today to show off my September pages,

My finished AUGUST page will appear as if by magic near the bottom of this post,

For those of you that are not in the know,
this challenge lasts the whole year,
you have to journal every day in the form of 12 monthly calender pages,
& then head over to the Kathryn wheel blog & link up your creation,
so Kate Crane & any one else can see what you have come up with,

If you like the sound of that? you can jump in at any time along the way,
so get cracking & head over HERE to check it out

Here's My September pages,
I love the colouring of these pages (a total fluke) not planned at all,
I love it when that happens, lol.

Here's the Distress inks I used for the blending,

Here's the stamps I used for the background,

Here's the finished background
(I stamped the boarder with Jet Black Archival ink)

Now for the fun part,
the embellishing,

The squares are again as the other months part of a TSV on QVC
bought ages ago (glad to put them to good use)
the days of the week are done on my computer,
as are the numbers (then punched out with a circle punch)
coloured with copic markers,

for SEPTEMBER I used letter tiles from a hang man game
purchased from a pound shop.
(I grunged them up with ink because they looked to new)

the lady & the heads on the left are cut from graphic 45 paper
as is the light bulb with wings,
the ladies on the right are stamped in coffee archival
using a stamp from the artistic stamper,

I seem to have filled the pages this time,
not much room to maneuver,
so I have actually stuck things down this month (lol)
my confidence must be growing (tee hee hee)

Now for my finished AUGUST pages,

I am finding It hard to find different things to right about,
because I am always doing the same things,
(work, sleep, food shopping, house work, washing looking after kids, etc)
so apologies for not being very interesting
for all you double clickers out there,
note to self, must try harder LOL

Anyway that's me for today,
have a creative day.
Thanks for stopping by,
back soon,
Kat x.

  2. I think your pages are adorable and not a bit boring. Besides, you can read your handwriting, something you can't do on mine. I love the way you decorated Sept, too. It is wonderful with the steampunk inspired lady.

  4. Hi Kat! Love your pages! I'm a big G45 fan so I think your Sept calendar is perfect! The August calendar is just as pretty and cute as can be. I sure am learning a lot looking at these calendars! I know what you mean about writing the same stuff...I've only done one month and I felt that way every day....like, what the heck do I do all day? Nothing? I must do SOMETHING! I even used little bitty copies of journal pages I did during the month to fill some of the squares. It helps!

  7. Well I love the way you have filled in August, so imaginative (who cares about the content, for me that's not what this is about at all). The stamping and colour scheme of September is totally out of this world, be proud of yourself, you deserve it!!!
