JOURNAL CALENDER DECEMBER / NOVEMBER PAGES

Hi all,
I'm here with my FINAL page of the whole year
of the 365 journal calender challenge,
hosted by Kate Crane over at
the Kathryn wheel blog click the link to see every ones creations.

I can't believe it's nearly over,
& much more importantly I can't believe I have kept up
for all the 12 months (lol)
The year has flown even quicker tracking the days,
for this challenge, anyway.

my finished November page will appear
if by magic near the bottom of this post.

I did sit down to make a modern page ie,
blue, silver, purple, but that just didn't happen,
so without further a do,
here is my December page,

Here's the distress inks I used
for the background,
(almost forgot to take the picture
got a bit carried away)lol

I don't have many Christmas  stamps
so I decided to keep it simple
& only use 2 small ones.

now for the fun part,
I have had these images forever, & forgot I even had them,
I came across them in my frantic search for Xmas
things to use, & felt they would be perfect,
I think they are called scraps, & are used for
old fashion traditional decoupage on boxes etc.

The squares are again as the other months part of a TSV on QVC
bought ages ago (glad to put them to good use)
the days of the week are done on my computer,
as are the numbers (then punched out with a circle punch)
& coloured with copic markers.

& there you have it!
I'm a bit sad this little journey has come to an end
but I have loved every minuet of it,
I would like to say a big thank you to
Kate Crane for putting up this challenge,
& also for every one that has left me such lovely comments.

I will be back at the end of the month
with the December page when it's all filled out
for anyone that wants to see it,
& I am also going to do a roundup
of all 12 pages before I bind them into a book.

OH almost forgot to show November, filled out,
silly me,  here it is.

GIGGLE FAIRY PAGE

Hi all,
I'm here today to shear a page I made for the
artistic stamper creative team blog
monthly challenge,
the theme this time is BACKGROUNDS
if you would like to join in click the link to read all about how,

I started by putting acrylic paint (hot pink & orange)
down onto the page with a baby wipe,
then I added the black dots,
with a piece of logo & black acrylic paint,
next I added white rings with,
an old bottle lid & white acrylic paint,

now for the stamps,
(all 3 are  from the artistic stamper)
I stamped the Music background with
Worn lipstick Distress ink, all over,
& then part stamped the  Sequin waste open,
with Rusty hinge Distress Ink,
to random parts of the page,
& lastly the Harlequin background
with Crimson Archival ink as shown.

Here's a few close ups,

I added a piece of torn book page for my fairy to stand on,
coloured with a copic marker,
collaged her up from sheets bought from
& stuck her down along with the words,
finally I stamped a flower off the page from the flower power set
also from the artistic stamper.
& coloured it in with a black pen,
then doodled with a white gel pen over the top.

I love the contrast on this page,
what do you think!
If you fancy entering the challenge

that's me for today!

JOURNAL CALENDER OCTOBER ( 2011)

Hi all,
I'm here today to show off my October pages,
But first I would like to tell you,
when I try to leave comment on other peoples work
my comment keeps disappearing,
(blogger isn't even throwing me to the brown sign in page)
CAN ANYONE HELP, I am so frustrated AHHHH!!!!!!

My finished SEPTEMBER page will appear as if by magic
near the bottom of this post,

For those of you that are not in the know,
this challenge lasts the whole year,
(Although we are on the 10th month you can still join in)
you have to journal every day in the form of 12 monthly calender pages,
& then head over to the the kathryn wheel blog & link up your creation,
so Kate Crane & any one else can see what you have come up with,
If you like the sound of that? get cracking & head over HERE to check it out

Here's my OCTOBER pages,

I thought I would graduate the colour
down the page for this one,
to symbolise the change of season,
on the background & the squares,
I think it came out quite well.

Here's the distress ink colours I used
to create the background,

All the background stamps are
paper artsy hot picks (LOVE THEM)

The embellishments I have made are also paper artsy
(how fab are stem punk Peter & steam punk Paul)
I stamped the flower twice once on cream & once on white card,
I then cut the white flowers out & stuck them to the cream flower
so it draws your eye,
the bottles are coloured with copic markers,
the word OCTOBER is from a date plate by creative expressions,
& the largest bottle is from the artistic stamper

The squares are again as the other months part of a TSV on QVC

bought ages ago (glad to put them to good use)
I did go over them lightly with distress ink
to tone them to the background,
then doodled round them with a zig pen.
the days of the week are done on my computer,
as are the numbers (then punched out with a flower punch)
& then coloured with copic markers,
Hope you like it!

Here's SEPTEMBER all filled out,

for all you lovely double clickers out there,
I have tried to make my nonsense a little  more exciting
but the atrocious spelling still remains (sorry) lol

well that's me for today,
thank you for all your lovely comments
you leave me each month,
each & every one is so apreceated.

A BEGINNERS GUIDE TO......

(If the word for a female dog offends please look away now)
......BECOMING A BITCH

Hi All,
I'm here today to shear a little bit of silliness & harmless humor,
I hope it won't offend anybody.

With the kids back to school I have a bit more time to craft
although I have just taken on a bigger work load,
in the way of a promotion, so we will have to see,
I did get a pay rise so it's not all bad (more money for craft stash)lol

anyway back to my project
I bought a collage sheet from Lisa's altered art that I couldn't resist
& this is what I made, (a tiny book of funny)

Ingredients used,

Lisa's collage sheet,
background stamps, all from, the artistic stamper
(Jennie's backgrounds are among my fav stamps ever)
Distress Inks in
(vintage photo, Victorian velvet, bundled sage, scattered straw, tattered rose)
tiny piece of tissue tape,
brown ribbon & 2 silver eyelets
the title on the book was printed of the computer
silver peel offs
(coloured with a brown pro marker before they were peeled off the sheet)

Here's a look at all the pages,

How funny are these ladies &their phrases,

Hope you like it!

That's it for today.
Thanks for stopping by,
