CAN RUSTY WINGS STILL FLY?

It's week 26 of the
Compendium of curiosities challenge,
over at studio L3.blogspot.com
click the link to head over there for all the details.

The technique for this week is
RUSTED GRUNGE,
& can be found on page 45 of Tim's book

I am also entering this for the challenge over at
the artistic stamper creativeteam blog
the theme this time is,
THINGS WITH WINGS

Here's my entry,

I have used weathered wood, bundled sage
& vintage photo distress inks,

I used heart wings, regal crest
& hardware findings alterations dies,
& lable six nestabilities,

I used patchwork texture fade,
(I'v had it for a while but this is the first time I have used it & I Loving it)

I also used a manila tag size 8x16 cm, grunge paper,
brushed corduroy distress embossing powder,
the sentiment is one of Wendy Vecchi's,
scraps of card, a gold metallic pen & silicone glue.

This tag was so fast to make, I kept looking at it,
thinking that was too easy, it practically made itself (lol)
I love that it has a masculine feel to it.

Hope you like it.

thanks for stopping by,
back soon,
Kat x.

  10. Kat, you've definitely proven that rusty wings can fly! This is a wonderful work of art! I love the contrast between the shiny gold and the rusted grunge, and what a magnificent use of texture! It may have felt easy to make, but it's sophisticated and intricate and... perfect!
